These seminars are designed
to prepare you for membership with Crown of Life, guide you
through spiritual maturity,
and/or help you to discover your ministry
SHAPE. Each seminar is dependent on the previous one, so that you
start with
the basic CLASS 101 and advance to the more intense CLASS
201, 301, 401, etc. The seminars end with pizza dinner and fellowship! Classes
usually begin at 1:30 p.m. at the COL Ministry Center.
CLASS
101
(Discovering a Church Family)
Usually meets the 2nd
Sunday of each month. This is our Membership
Seminar taught
by Pastor Rick, CLASS 101 is the place to start if you're wondering
what Crown of Life is all about!
It prepares you for membership at Crown of Life. We've designed
this class, using a PowerPoint presentation, as an afternoon-long
introduction into what we believe, who we are, and where under God we
are going. It covers the
basics including what our goals are, our purpose, organization, and
structure. Following the seminar, you will be invited to join
our family of faith at Crown of Life, although you don't make any
commitment just by attending the seminar.
CLASS
201 (Good Habits to Help
you Grow)
Usually meets the 3rd
Sunday of Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep, & Nov. Taught
by Pastor Rick, CLASS 201 is the 2nd of
four seminars designed to help you grow in faith and in a life lived
for Jesus. In CLASS 201, Mr. Grebe leads you into Scripture to
discover the habits necessary for growing spiritually. You will
discuss such topics as prayer, giving to God, daily Bible reading,
daily quiet time and more. You'll find that the Bible as much to
say to help you move forward in faith.
Pre-requisite: CLASS 101.
CLASS
301
(You are Unique for
Ministry)
Usually meets the 3rd
Sunday of
Feb, Jun, & Oct. Taught
by Pastor Rick, CLASS 301 is third base in our
Christian Life and Service Seminar series. Pastor Rick
leads CLASS 301 to help you discover your SHAPE for
ministry. God has made and shaped each of us uniquely for
service to Him and others. SHAPE stands for Spiritual
gifts, Heart, Aptitude, Personality and Experiences.
CLASS 301 will help you discover how God has created and shaped you. Pre-requisite: CLASS 201.
CLASS
401
(Serving Outside the
Church)
Serving Outside the Church is still under
development, but will prepare you to minister outside COL either
through a missions trip or some other outside ministry. Pre-requisite: CLASS 301.
