"Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain." -Psalm 127:1
We believe the Holy Scriptures, both Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, inerrant, and sufficient Word of
God, and the final authority in all matters of faith and life.
• “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training
in righteousness.” (2 Timothy 3:16)
• “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” (Isaiah 40:8)
We believe in one God, the Creator of heaven and earth, who is sovereign over all things.
• “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1)
• “The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.” (Psalm 103:19)
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our
sins, rose again, and is the only way of salvation.
• “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (John 1:14)
• “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6)
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates, indwells, empowers, and sanctifies all who believe in Christ, and leads us
into truth and holiness.
• “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:6)
• “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.” (Acts 1:8)
We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Those who are saved are reborn and
regenerated by the Spirit.
• “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”
(Ephesians 2:8–9)
• “He saved us... by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.” (Titus 3:5)
We believe true faith produces fruit as evidence of new life in Christ.
• “Thus you will recognize them by their fruits.” (Matthew 7:20)
• “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” (James 2:17)
We believe Christ is the head of the Church, His body, which exists to glorify Him in all things. Christ has appointed
qualified men as elders to govern, shepherd, and teach with authority in the church, in accordance with Scripture.
Women are called to serve faithfully in many ways, but the office of elder and the role of authoritative teaching in
the gathered church are reserved for men.
• “And He is the head of the body, the church.” (Colossians 1:18)
• “And He put all things under His feet and gave Him as head over all things to the church.” (Ephesians 1:22)
• “I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet.” (1
Timothy 2:12)
• “Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife... able to teach.” (1 Timothy 3:2)
• “Appoint elders in every town as I directed you—if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife.”
(Titus 1:5–6)
We believe all believers are accountable to Christ, to the Scriptures, and to one another. The local church is called
to exercise loving correction, restoration, and discipline when members persist in unrepentant sin, for the purity of
the church and the glory of Christ.
• “Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have
to give an account.” (Hebrews 13:17)
• “Brothers, if anyone is caught in any transgression, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of
gentleness.” (Galatians 6:1)
• “If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church. And if he refuses to listen even to the church, let him be
to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.” (Matthew 18:17)
We believe God created mankind in His image, male and female, and that this design is good, holy, and
unchangeable.
• “So God created man in His own image... male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27)
We believe marriage is a covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman, reflecting Christ and His
Church.
• “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one
flesh.” (Genesis 2:24)
• “Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.” (Mark 10:9)
We believe all sexual relations outside of marriage between one man and one woman are sinful.
• “For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality.” (1 Thessalonians
4:3)
• “Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral... nor men who practice homosexuality... will inherit the
kingdom of God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9–10)
We believe baptism is for believers only, after repentance and upon evidence of regeneration. It is a public
declaration of faith, not a means of salvation. Baptism is full immersion. We do not practice infant baptism but
affirm baby dedication.
• “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins.” (Acts
2:38)
• “So those who received his word were baptized.” (Acts 2:41)
We believe the Lord’s Supper is for believers and is a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice. It should be partaken of in holiness, with self-examination, being right with God and reconciled with our brothers and sisters.
• “For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.” (1
Corinthians 11:26)
• “So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against
you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and
offer your gift.” (Matthew 5:23–24)
We believe every Christian is called to follow Jesus daily, deny themselves, and grow in holiness through obedience
to His Word.
• “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Luke
9:23)
• “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe all that I have commanded
you.” (Matthew 28:19–20)
We believe the mission of the Church is to proclaim the gospel to all nations, baptizing and teaching them to obey
Christ.
• “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.” (Mark 16:15)
We believe Jesus will return visibly and triumphantly to judge the living and the dead. Those who are in Christ will
inherit eternal life, and those who reject Him will face eternal punishment. This is both a warning and a blessed
hope for all who belong to Him.
• “For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and
with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive... will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the
Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–18)
• “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ.” (2 Corinthians 5:10)
• “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
(Revelation 20:15)
• “And this is eternal life, that they know you the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.” (John
17:3)
